Flake Music (James Mercer fronted band from Albuquerque, New Mexico)

Flake Music was a band from Albuquerque, United States active from 1992 to 1999 led by James Mercer before he dropped the project in favor of his side-band, The Shins. In fact, James brought along the entire band with him and they formed under their new name. Flake Music released two 7-inch singles and a 1997 full-length album, "When You Land Here It's Time to Return." Read more on Last.fm
