Tim Exile (or Exile) is the recording alias of Timothy Charles Shaw, a producer and performer of electronic music spanning drum and bass, IDM, breakcore and gabber. Exile was educated at Rendcomb College from 1990 to 1997 and studied philosophy at Durham University, where he wrote his dissertation on the difference between music and noise.
