Royce Glenn Sutton (September 28, 1937 – April 17, 2007) was an American country music singer-songwriter, record producer, and one of the architects of the countrypolitan sound. Sutton was born in Hodge, Louisiana, and grew up in Chireno, Texas. He began writing songs at an early age, and moved to Henderson, where Jim Reeves was an announcer on local AM radio station KGRI.
