The Mountain Goats (de inglés: Las Cabras de Montaña) son una banda estadounidense de rock alternativo, indie rock y lo-fi formada en Claremont, California en 1991. Lo lidera John Darnielle, y mucha gente cree que él es el único miembro, pero Peter Hughes, el bajista, es la otra mitad de la banda.
