Madensuyu started their musical career by ending third in Belgian rock competition Humo's Rock Rally 2004, after Absynthe Minded and The Van Jets. The name Madensuyu is derived from Turkish and means mineral water. A first EP, containing four songs, was released in 2005, dubbed Adjust We. In april 2006 their debut album, A Field Between, was released, containing the four tracks on Adjust We, adding five new tracks.
