The Cure es una banda británica de rock formada en 1976 en Crawley. En sus primeros años, la banda adoptó sucesivamente los nombres de Malice y posteriormente Easy Cure, etapa en la que ya formaba parte de la formación uno de sus fundadores y futuro líder, Robert Smith, quien se desempeñaba como guitarrista principal.
