David Cohn, better known by his stage name Serengeti, is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. Serengeti is the great-nephew of jazz trumpeter Sonny Cohn. He grew up in various places in Chicago, Illinois, as his parents divorced when he was 5 years old. At the age of 12, he got into hip hop.
